Beekeeping Classes

Beekeeping classes are offered by Jim Miller, near Medical Lake.  Lessons cost $35 a family for 12 hours of instruction.  To get started costs about $150 for a hive and frames, another $100 for bees, plus $100 for protective clothing.  Jim recommends that you take a class before you spend money on bees and equipment. 

Beginning Beekeeping Class

Saturday, November 2, 9, & 16, 2013

Journeyman Beekeeping Class

Saturday, October 5th & 12th, 2013.
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Where: Pizza Factory, Medical Lake, WA

Fee: $35.00 per person.  An additional fee of $10.00 is required for the Washington State Beekeepers Assoc. Journeyman Exam.  The West Plains Beekeepers Assoc will conduct an exam at the end of the course.

Class is 10 hours in length.  The class is taught towards understanding beekeeping.
Space is limited, so get on the list now.  Registration must be completed before start of class.
